To create art is my constant and encompassing ambition. Although I work mainly in acrylic on board I am certainly not limited to this. With a wide-ranging set of interests always supplying a varied array of subjects to choose from, it is the exchange of light and shadow that tends to play a major role in my paintings. Antiquities and the passage of time, rural settings and wildlife are all themes I use to explore myself and the world around us.
Inspiration comes to me unbidden in thoughts and images. I seek to transpose these ideas so that they can be accessed by all. Acrylic paint on board is my preferred medium. After conceiving an approach and then a quick sketch, I start painting while the idea is urgent and vibrant.
