My work explores the quiet tension between where we have been and where we are going. I weave together natural, hand-spun yarns from Nepal with hard, manufactured materials like plexiglass and mirror. The yarn holds warmth, tradition, and care, while the reflective surfaces suggest a colder, fast-moving, modern world. Binding wool and silk yarns around the sharp edges of glass feels like stitching a wound — an act of reflection and repair. My process transforms pain into possibility, tension into balance, all while honouring the Nepali weavers who have shaped my livelihood. Each finished artwork becomes a suspended moment — an orb of release, where I find hope. I imagine a future stitched with care, where the wisdom of what came before untangles the knots of today, guiding us towards a brighter, more mindful way of being.
